Our first "unofficial" Wall Crawler Wednesday was held at Soldier Canyon, Left Hand Wall (a.k.a "Hairping Turn").

It's disappointing we didn't have a camera that day, as Nick, Justin, AND Frank ALL finished their FIRST LEADS, and skillfully negotiated some heady run-outs near the top of the wall.

We may not have pictures, but this day was the start of a weekly tradition, and one that we intend to continue for years to come!

The basis for the WCW events is this:  Every Wednesday, rain or shine, we will climb somewhere, anywhere.  Although we have had the occasional missed day (a rare occasion - only one as of August 2006), we still manage to climb some time during the week, and this ensures that our tradition continues uninterrupted.  Rarely will we return to the same area twice in one year.  We make a concerted effort to go somewhere new EVERY week.  Sometimes we end up exploring, or swimming, or even being a bit lazy, and occasionally we climb enough that it hurts to get up the next morning... but one way or another, climbing is on the venue EVERY Wednesday!!!
